The Elcometer 134S Chlor Test for Blast Cleaned Surfaces allows the surface to be tested for chloride salts prior to application of a coating. To ensure that the chloride has been removed it is essential that the surface is tested before the coating is applied. Elcometer 134S test method: a latex sleeve is filled with a Chlor*Rid extract solution and stuck to the test surface where the solution is worked against the surface to extract the salts. Test Method
The Elcometer 134S Chloride Detection Kit for Blast Cleaned Surfaces is simple and convenient to use with its three-step process
1. Pour CHLOR*EXTRACT™ solution into the latex tube.
2. Peel the protective backing off the flange of the tube, pinch to tube to retain the CHLOR*EXTRACT™ and stick the flange to the surface to be tested and work the solution against the surface to extract the salts.
3. Peel the flange off. Insert the glass titration tube into the solution in the tube and read the results.
