The Brav IT-122 Infrared Thermometer is a non-contact infrared thermometer that reads human body temperature when aimed at the forehead and triggered. Because the reading is taken without touching the person, it is more hygienic than a contact thermometer and lets an operator screen people quickly, which is useful where an elevated or high fever temperature needs to be flagged without delay or physical contact.
A high-precision temperature sensor returns a reading in less than one second at a measuring distance of 5 to 15cm. The Brav IT-122 Infrared Thermometer has two modes: body mode covers 32.0°C to 42.9°C with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.2°C, and object mode covers 0°C to 118°C with an accuracy of plus or minus 1.0°C. Display resolution is 0.1°C, shown on a large, easy to read display of the Brav IT-122 Infrared Thermometer that quickly identifies elevated and high readings.
The Brav IT-122 Infrared Thermometer runs on 2 x AAA batteries with a low-battery reminder, operates between 10°C and 40°C at below 80 percent humidity, and weighs 160g without the battery in an 88 x 44 x 61mm housing. The Brav IT-122 Infrared Thermometer is a cost-effective option for fast body or forehead temperature screening. Supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor of precision measurement instruments.

When to use the Brav IT-122 Infrared Thermometer
This is a non-contact infrared thermometer aimed at screening people, with a reading in under a second and no contact between unit and skin. It also has an object mode, so it can read basic surface temperatures, but its precision and range are set up for body screening rather than coating work.
- 1Reads in under one secondA non-contact reading in less than a second lets you move people through a checkpoint quickly, which is the point of a screening thermometer.
- 2Two modes for people and objectsBody mode runs 32.0 to 42.9 degrees C at plus or minus 0.2 degrees C and object mode runs 0 to 118 degrees C at plus or minus 1.0 degrees C, so one unit covers both people and rough surface checks.
- 3Result is readable at arm's lengthThe large display flags elevated and high fever readings clearly, so an operator can act on the result without studying the screen.
